The Deerfield Fair is scheduled to begin September 30, 2010 and run through October 3, 2010. This years fair will be the 134th annual.

Amongst the colors of Autumn in this quaint Agricultural Town of Deerfield, NH, one of the states best old-fashioned country fairs plays host to thousands of visitors.
This years fair will feature numerous displays including; farm fresh produce, canned goods, baked goods, hand-made wares, artwork, Etc. In addition there will be farm animals from sheep to pigs and oxen to horses.

One of the big draws at this event is the horse pulling contest where a team of horses driven by their owner/trainers attempt to pull weights upward of 3000 pounds on a wooden sled in the dirt. Sound interesting? You may want to check it out.
Among the numerous displays and contests are of course the food booths and carts. You can expect to find fresh-cut french fries, onion rings, buffalo burgers, cotton candy, candied apples, sausages, fried dough, fresh apple crisp and a myriad of other treats along the way.
Then there is the midway – this is where the kids go wild! Rides and games are the main stay here. Special deals are offered on a couple days allowing the ride enthusiasts to experience each ride as many times as necessary with the purchase of one $20. ticket.
